David and Mary Jo O'Keefe are long time residents of the Vernon BC area and we look forward to being able to welcome you into our home. Our home is located on the shores of Okanagan Lake, we are minutes away from the Vernon Yacht Club we also within easy driving distance to several world class golf courses.
We also operate a small
wine touring company and will be able to easily book you a tour of the region (
view our touring company website) or if you want a day of travel on your own, we can provide you very good maps of the region and suggestions to some of our long time favourites.
Whatever your holiday plans, we are sure you will enjoy our little piece of the Okanagan.
Both Mary Jo and David O'Keefe have been very involved in Vernon BC.
Mary Jo moved with her family to Vernon in the early 70's, after she left for university she spent the next 25 years working in the tourism industry in both Vancouver and Calgary , she moved back to Vernon to take on job of Managing Director of Vernon Tourism in 1991. She has lived here since, serving for 15 years on the School District 22 School Board and currently is serving her first term as a Vernon City Councillor. In 2003, Mary Jo started her own company
MJO Communications which produces the Vernon BC Visitor Planner yearly.
David moved to the area in the late 60's and worked as a ski coach at Silver Star while he operated a sporting goods store in town. For the past 19 years, David has been working in the real estate industry, for the last 3 years with both his son and son-in- law as part of the OKEEFE 2 real-estate team. He also served for 9 years on the Vernon City Council.
